The TSM980 starts life as a true motorsport piece built to withstand the toughest of tasks required and built to the tightest quality standards. Utilizing the latest multi-port diffuser technology aids in indexing of the injector for better atomization and proper port location of the spray pattern for a multi valve head like the STi. Because of this every single TSM980 injector insures properly atomized fuel is injected directly at the valves and not the center port divider in the head.

Until now most 1000cc injectors like the one pictured below started out as an OEM injector built to flow less fuel but also built with the same multiport diffuser technology. In a quest for higher flowing injectors aftermarket companies would machine off the diffuser to increase the injector flow rate. While this does work and has produced many acceptable results why continue on with old technology that's just good enough?

The TSM980s flow just about 1000cc of fuel while still retaining the multiport diffuser like the OEM injector. What does that mean? When put up against aftermarket 1000cc injectors that are currently offered we noted a decrease in partial throttle injector duty cycle due to proper spray pattern placement in the head, less black soot (smoke) normally seen in spool up and a good increase in MPG. While overall power remained the same, drive ability, cold start, idle and all other day to day conditions improved.

Looking at the images below you can clearly see how the TSM980 injector closely resembles the factory injectors spray pattern and retains the same multiport diffuser technology.
