I flew up to Detroit to pick this car up on November 17th. It was a pretty decent ride down, I drove partially on that day, and some on the 18th. This car is pretty mint. I bought it with 41,000 miles on it.

A few pictures from the ride down:

I went to get the car registered today, but alas, this is where the real adventure begins!
I decided since the previous owner had it turbo'd and had taken out the check engine light, I'd stop by Autozone to check if it was displaying any codes. Yes :(
    P130 - o2 sensor
    p136 - o2 sensor
    p400 - blocked EGR hole.

So I drove home, and cleared the codes, checked all the hookups for those items, which were fine, cleaned the EGR valve which seemed to be in good working order. I also started removing some of the extra electronics, Apexi, prewiring for a HKS idle stabilizer, all of the Greddy gauges and JR knock sensor thing. I also found out that there is the stock Subaru keyless entry, but no fobs, and an aftermarket alarm (with fobs), and when I hooked the battery back up, the stock alarm started the parking lights to blink, so I just disconnected that box, and that seemed to fix that. The aftermarket alarm is still functioning though. I also put back in the check engine light, it didn't stay on, so I figured maybe I was okay. So then I went to autozone again to check if there were any codes, but we discussed and said that the OBDii system would have to ready itself, and I'd have to drive for a bit. I drove for about 50 miles, and then went to the emissions, and there were the following codes pending, but not showing on the check engine light yet:

    Misfire cyl 2
    Misfire cyl 3
    Misfire cyl 4

The emissions guy recommended to check the plugs. I bought new ones. God, it was a pain in the ass to install those, but it seemed to clear the idle up a bit. I ran out of time to go back to get the codes cleared. That's tomorrows mission. I did have time to remove the fake carbon overlay on the dash, move the compass up to the top spot above the air vents, and changed the shift knob to stock.

So this starts my member's journal. I'll try to update when I can.

The rear O2 CEL, for all intents and purposes, is a nuisance code. Since it's only good for measuring CAT efficiency, doesn't affect engine performance, and is required to be functional to pass emissions, go ahead and throw one of these in between the rear sensor and the pipe and never worry about a rear O2 sensor CEL again.

it may pop up again from time to time, but for the most part he's correct.
I had it pop up once after doing the spacer mod, hasn't come back in the past 4 months since.

Amazingly clean especially for a Northern car.

Oh wow. That is one beautiful 2.5RS. I love the body style of that generation of Imprezas, right next to the '05 gen.
And 41k miles?! That's awesome! Putting aside all of the errors you've had, you have a car that's nowhere near dying.

Thanks for the information! This is what's going on currently:

Update - Codes have been cleared for the misfire, and haven't come back. But the p400 has resurfaced. Researching now....

Oh that sucks. How much would it cost to get it replaced/fix it up?

75 for a new one at the dealer. Though I posted up a wtb thread, so maybe someone will have one for cheaper :)
