I've dealt with Allpro for a few small things over the past few years and have been absolutely satisfied, but last week I had an experience with them that I feel needs to shared with everyone on here. Just over a year ago I had a shop perform a six speed swap on my 02 wagon, but upon installation it was found that there was a very loud whine coming from it on deceleration. I'm not getting into any details on that whole situation beyond the fact that the issue was not solved, the trans was deemed a bad core, and circumstances have left me in a position where I could not have the issue fixed or receive a reimbursement for a while. Since this car is my primary vehicle and I've grown extremely frustrated at going without it for extended periods of time, I gave up and decided to source another trans on my own. In the process I gave Allpro a yell, and sure enough, they were able to source one for me and even worked out a great price for install that I simply couldn't pass up (after all, doing any solo trans install SUCKS, much less one that involves a heavy ass STi six speed). I dropped the car off, and here's where Allpro really blew my expectations away: -They went out of their way to get the install done and source some other necessary and hard to find parts, as well as solve an issue we discovered with the driveshaft in less than three days. -After the install, Brandon admitted that he was not 100% comfortable with the unproven trans that they sourced for me, so he took it upon himself to install the lower mileage 05 six speed from his own car to ensure that I was happy with the swap in the long run! -When I came to pick up the car, I test drove it and found a couple of very minor issues with the shifter adjustment. When I mentioned it, they didn't complain or give one whit of argument. No... they dropped what they were doing, threw the car back on the lift, and no joke, had it fixed in less than ten minutes. -After all of this I got a call from Brandon on Monday. Why? He just wanted to make sure everything was still operating fine and that I was still happy with their work. My car feels better than it ever has, and the six speed install is so proficient you'd think it came from the factory this way. I do a lot of mechanical work on the side, and I've dealt with a lot of other shops. NO other shop has ever left me this impressed. Sorry for the novel, but when a shop goes this far above and beyond to make my life a little easier, I figure the least I can do is post up a thorough and positive review for them. I love hearing these great stories about AllPro and anyone affiliated with WRXATL family! It's incredibly heart warming that people post with what they are pleased with vs most people that get upset and rant about the negatives. Keep up the great work AllPro!
