Super, I enjoy DeathCab, I just listed the albums I had sitting on my desk. I just got a ton of new cds, looking for anything new and great. Ive only had the chance to listen to the first few tracks on Mew, and I'm diggin' it. Clay Your Hands Say Yeah Mew - And the Glass Handed Kites KT Tunstall - Eye To The Telescope The Arcade Fire - whatever their ep is called Iron & Wine / Calexico - In the Reins Badly Drawn Boy - About a Boy and finally, two of my favorites Bob Dylan Discography Nick Drake Discography
Hey Kris, which Fugazi album came out in the late 80's? I bought the album "Repeater" and it was the wrong one...I think its the one that came out b4 it...
i'm thinking you want 13 Songs. it was Waiting Room, Give Me the Cure, Lockdown.... It's an amazing CD. Ian at his best.
Oh my god, i can't believe someone else has heard of the insane, seizure inducing, japanese punk/electronica whatever the hell it is band, Polysics. They are so extreme. I played it for a moderately stoned person one time and he curled up into a ball yelling "STOP STOP!" because it was too much noise and japanese singing. Anyway, i've recently been RAWKING out to Dream Theater in my car, the song "Change of Seasons" is a rock epic for a new generation, gotta love it.
Really good. Much better than the previous ones, IMO. And yes, Polysics is great. Too bad there still aren't any plans for them to tour the southeast.
For those who like Reggae, the new Damian Marley CD is flippin' awesome. I actually bought it! leagally at that.... http://www.damianmarleymusic.com/ the site has the title track on the home page.
My boss told me to check that out last week so I guess I'll try since I've got another reccomendation.
Dude it is awesome! You can't help moving to it. Drumming your fingers, foot tapping, what ever. I can't wait to drive home with it cranked tonight. :naughty:
that old stuff? LOL ...just messin with ya, i love that disc ... i've got armin van buuren "shivers" going right now, totally worth getting(his compositions not a mix disc). zocola, shivers, and who's watching are my favs on the disc so far. politics of dancing 2 - the first disc kicks ASS real melodic layered stuff. the second disc is good too, "the other side" is great, and the rest of it has more of a club feel. i wish andain would release an actual disc. if you like getting the pure tracks that these guys spin/compose, go to beatport.com, there's another site that has great stuff too, i forget the url though.
if you're into that stuff, remind me and i'll post up the other site later when i get to my machine... it has a lot of pvd tracks and big name guys, including a deep dish remix of the "other side" which is the best out of the group imo.
Good find scoob. I think I have seen this guy at a Reggae festival I went to last year. But again most of them sound all the same Nice find
Another Rage fan here.... That first album was the shit.... The second one(evil empire) was great too, just not to fond of Battle for LA...about 60% great "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me!!!!!"
"...Hard Stance and Inside Out (both of which featured future Rage Against The Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha)" i've never heard either of these bands. anyone else?
I was a little amused when i saw what zack was doing these days. He needs to get back in gear and hook back up with rage for a lil whirlwind concert I saw them on there tour with wu tang and they rocked hifi buys .. w00t
new Marley seems really good. The new Thrice CD is promising but very very very different from anything they've ever recorded before.
Lots of Staind, Fuel, Nickelback, Alterbridge and some random hip hop in the mix... They rock. I've had a chance to see them live twice...great stuff.
Unity! no more bad town... Op Ivy is some good stuff New for me that's cool - it's an electronic kind of hip hop Lyrics Born - Same !@#$ Different Day
alex and milo, did you guys get a sec to check the MP3s on that DVD i gave you? i was wondering what you thought of Perfume Tree.
